It Can Get Hot Out ThereLike most of us, you are probably envious as you drive to the office and see people out on the courses early in the morning. Unfortunately, work schedules often mean you need to get to the office early and sneak in a round after work. This often means that you will be playing during the hottest part of the day.
Playing golf when it is hot adds a new set of challenges. Make sure you are hydrated. If you know you are going to play golf later in the day start drinking water early, even when you are not thirsty. Make sure to wear light colored clothing that fit loosely and bring a hat or umbrella to protect you from the sun. Use plenty of sunscreen and make sure you continually apply more as the day moves on. Most importantly, if you start to feel ill get out of the heat quickly and get medical attention.
